About

According to a recent report published by the University of Southern California, only 7.5% of executives in the music industry are Black.

In an effort to increase the hiring of Black professionals in the music industry, Diverse Representation and Color Of Change’s #ChangeMusic initiative have partnered to create the first-ever database of Black music professionals.

This database is intended to be a resource for music labels, streaming platforms, agencies, firms, and other organizations and companies seeking Black talent. Currently, this site is only accessible to partners of Diverse Representation and Color Of Change.

About Color Of Change

Color Of Change is the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. We help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by over 7 million members, we move decision-makers in corporations and governments to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America. #ChangeMusic is a vertical within the Color Of Change #ChangeIndustries initiative dedicated to eradicating racism in the music industry. In partnership with the Recording Academy, #ChangeMusic addresses racist, exploitative practices in the music industry that are long overdue for an overhaul. Its goal is to harness the power we have as artists, producers, executives, and cultural leaders by inviting companies to take responsibility for their impact on the world.
